The Solution to Environmental Decay
There are several ongoing activities in the entire universe which should be reviewed. That ‘ignorance is a disease’ is a common adage among our people. The same thing is associated with the knowledge of our environment. Ignorance of our environment is also a disease as far as human health is concerned. The environment should be preserved and kept clean. Taking a look at the case of many developing nations of the world, there the environment is saddled with both national and man made problems that threaten the existence of man together with the classified flora and fauna around. Such problems include desert encroachment, drought, erosion, industrial pollution, illegal and indiscriminate dumping of toxic and hazardous waste, global warming, bush burning, deteriorating urban and rural sanitation, oil spillage and lots like problems.
According to the 1990 World Bank Report, major developing countries losses a staggering sum of about hundreds of US Dollars yearly to environmental related problems. Environmental education thus becomes a necessary solution to this problem. Environmental education is aimed at providing every person with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, value, attitudes, commitment and skills needed to protect and improve the environment. To improve the nation’s health through environmental education, all hand must be on deck. Governments at the various levels in the developing nations of the world should rise up to these challenges gearing towards arresting and solving the environmental problems. In the same vein, the United Nations should increase there power and level of awareness on the affected nations through the media as a sophisticated means of passing the information. The Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) should as well be funded by the United Nations and the government of the nations involved playing a vital role to ensuring adequate health service delivery systems are installed in their local communities. This will in turn provide an orientation course for the various offices, place of works and the homes to start practicing the outlined measures to fight environmental menace. The various religious groups will also participate towards creating the awareness to a large extent hence people will in turn abide by there teachings.
The environment is basic to human existence, hence anything that affects it, will invariably affect not only its quality but also that of man’s life.

J'utilise eyeliner noir sur ma ligne de flottaison par jour et je n'ai pas encore trouvé de seconde grâce à celui qui dure période. J'ai entendu votre avis partagés sur l'Urban Decay 24 / 7 de ligne, et je songe à me l'avoir. Est-il utile? Ou s'agit-il tache comme un fou et que je venais de gaspiller mon argent? Merci beaucoup!
Je ne pense pas que la moitié de ces personnes ont déjà utilisé sur leur ligne de flottaison il … Non ce n'est pas bon sur la ligne de flottaison. Il est obtenu un gel de la consistance presque, il va sur les semi-transparente, au mieux. A très bon l'un pour la ligne de flottaison serait Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place crayon pour les yeux, dure environ 5-6 heures sur la ligne de flottaison, va sur le noir opaque, et reste sur votre couvercle extérieur pour jours si vous le laissez faire! C'est un peu plus cher que 24 / 7 doublures, mais j'ai reçu la mienne le 7 Octobre 2009, et c'est seulement la moitié disparu … et je m'en sers tous les jours sur mon flottaison aussi!

Urban Nightmares $24.49 For the past twenty-five years, American culture has been marked by an almost palpable sense of anxiety about the nation’s inner cities. Urban America has been consistently depicted as a site of moral decay and uncontrollable violence, held in stark contrast to the allegedly moral, orderly suburbs and exurbs. In Urban Nightmares, Steve Macek documents the scope of these alarmist representations of the city, examines the ideologies that informed them, and exposes the interests they ultimately served. Macek begins by exploring the conservative analysis of the urban poverty, joblessness, and crime that became entrenched during the post-Vietnam War era. Instead of attributing these conditions to broad social and economic conditions, right-wing intellectuals, pundits, policy analysts, and politicians blamed urban problems on the urban underclass itself. This strategy was successful, Macek argues, in deflecting attention from growing income disparities and in helping to secure popular support both for reactionary social policies and the assumptions underwriting them. Turning to the media, Macek explains how Hollywood filmmakers, advertisers, and journalists validated the right-wing discourse on the urban crisis, popularizing its vocabulary. Network television news and weekly news magazines, he shows, covered the inner city and its inhabitants in ways consonant with the right’s alarmist discourse. At the same time, Hollywood zealously recycled this antiurban bias in films ranging from genre thrillers like Falling Down and Judgment Night to auteurist efforts like Batman and Seven. Even advertising, Macek argues, mobilized fears of a perilous urban realm to sell products from SUVs to home alarmsystems. Published during the second term of an American president whose conservative agenda has been an ongoing disaster for the poor and the working class, Urban Nightmares exposes a divisive legacy of media bias against the cities and their inhabitants and issues a wake-up call to readers to recognize that media images shape what we believe about others’ (and our own) place in the real world-and the consequences of those beliefs can be devastating. Steve Macek teaches media studies, urban and suburbia studies, and speech communication at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. |
